The University has engaged Mr. Mayer for alsmost ten years for major and

minor services to our more than forty aging grands, and alsways to our satisfaction.

Our main consideration for using Mr. Mayers services is his superior expertise

in the technical and mechanical aspects of these highly specialized tasks.

The performance and value of our instruments have increased to such an

extend that we boast an excellent outfit with respect to the general quality

of our pianos. Visiting pianists of international standing always express their

satisfaction and admiration with regard to the tech- nical preparation and

upkeep of our stage pianos. Examiners representing testing agencies such

as the ABRSM. Trinity College and UNISA are equally satisfied.

Mr. Mayers training with the Austrian-manufacturing firm Bösendorfer uniquely

equips him as a qualified piano builder. The University seeks independence from

any single service provider, but our efforts in procuring an eqzivalent specialist

in South Africa have been to no avail.
